His victory on "The Next" opened doors in the music industry, leading to collaborations with established artists like Big & Rich. Together, they co-wrote the hit single "Run Away with You," released in 2015.
Following his win on "The Next," Michael Ray was signed to Warner Bros. Records Nashville, solidifying his place in the country music scene. In 2014, he released his first EP titled "Tour Bootleg," which featured tracks that would later become fan favorites, including "Kiss You in the Morning" and "Think a Little Less."
